[Poll #1253693]

This is a slight variation on an idea from [livejournal.com profile] celticmom1967, she said Frozen Yogurt ... but really ... I mean really ???

When I can get frozen custard, I go for it. Sadly, the nearest outlet that I know of is 25 miles from home - not worth the drive, when it's less than half a mile to the nearest ice cream parlor, and I can walk.

not to taunt you too much, but there is a Culver's across the street from my house, more or less.

I think we'll be having some tonight.

I'd call that taunting. :-)

We had a Culver's about two miles away back in Palatine. We have a new one only 25 miles away (at I-94 and Belleville Rd); fortunately I occasionally have excuses to go over there. It's a lot better than the former closest one, in Jackson, which I never had a valid excuse to visit.

Research has turned up a Ritter's Frozen Custard in Brighton, although Mapquest says that's just as far. Still, I should probably check it out.

I voted for frozen custard... you are right there really is no comparison between ice cream and frozen yogurt... but FROZEN CUSTARD? mmmmm

In the Chicago area (at least) Culver's is selling Frozen Custard for only $1/scoop today. Check your local Culver's for similar deals.

I said ice cream but mainly because Gelato falls into that category.

Ice Cream. Every thing else is a cheap imitation.

Frozen custard is WAY richer than ice cream. If you think it's a "cheap imitation," you've never had custard at all, nor apparently ever had bad ice cream.

Absolutely right re: FroYo.

As to the original poll, well, nothing wrong with frozen custard, but if yer gonna sin, SIN, DAMMIT! And [livejournal.com profile] wyngarde is also right.

Um, frozen custard adds eggs, and has about 10% milkfat. Folks with any sort of arterial disease should stick to regular ice cream; likewise anyone on a weight-control diet. If you're going to sin, you can do it twice as fast with frozen custard.

Hey - I am an ice cream fiend, but one of the things I'm into right now is putting yogurt in the freezer and freezing it. Yummy...frozen Weight Watchers yogurt. Almost as good as ice cream. :)

I live in the city of Frozen Custard. Within 10 miles of my home I have probably 2 dozen frozen custard stands.

A hard one as each has its attraction.

This means the real answer is "yes, please". :)

I can TOTALLY get behind that answer.

Ice cream is a hint that there is a benevolent God.
