Ok, here's the deal. We have CDs. Just got them. We don't have everything signed yet, but we're plugging away at it (we have to track everyone down and make them sign over a 100 CDs). We will get them signed and out the door with everything else as soon as possible.

Chicon starts tomorrow. Yes, Ropers will have our CDs. If you are a KS donor and want yours, you will need to track me down before Opening Ceremonies. I will only be there for that and am leaving right after. If you want it signed by everyone, I'm afraid that you'll have to wait, because, as I said, we haven't been able to get everyone to sign all the CDs yet.

I feel kind of a bit of rat for this, I wanted the Kickstarter folks to get their CDs first, but we can't not have the CDs at Worldcon. If they had shown up a week earlier … or a week later.

Also, I don't have the bonus CDs duplicated yet, so if you are owed a bonus CD, I probably won't have it (unless I can get some done today before I leave).

AHHHHHHH.

Mixing and mastering is done. I have the master disc sitting here on my desk, the artwork disc will be on my desk shortly. Everything gets sent overnight to Oasis today. We may have discs as early as next week.

I cannot begin to say how grateful we are. 106 backers, 13 just today. $3,550, $550 above our original goal. This enables us to do the following.

Pay the producer of the CD, our good friend Isaac.
Get CDs pressed.
Get t-shirts made.
Get a new sound system.
Put money away for a travel fund, to get to some faraway places.

I want my 100 !!!

Ok, I'm fine with it as is, but 100 would be cool. Only 9 hours to go. We have made it plus a little extra. I intend to thank each of you personally.

We are at $3167 this morning.

Everything we make now goes into the travel fund. With the amount taken out by KS, we are just about exactly $3000, which pays for everything that needs to be paid.

We have 91 backers, what I want now is for 9 more people to pledge, so we have an even 100! Yeah, I'm a little obsessive.

We are 10 days from the end of the Kickstarter and we're just over $500 away. Please take a look and help us out if you haven't already. $20 gets you a signed CD, $35 a signed CD and a disc of bonus tracks and rough mixes. $50 gets you all of the above and something nifty and knitted by Lizzie. $100 gets you all of the above and a knitted Jayne hat and matching fingerless mitts/arm warmers. $400 means we come to your home and play music for you (geographic and scheduling restrictions apply). We recorded basic tracks for three songs last night, Widows Garden, Follow That Road (Anne Hills) and Family. The latter two were both first takes! Tonight Lizzie and I record Child Of Stars, If I Were The Rain and Caravan. Then basic tracks are done. Then we pick up again in a couple of weeks once we're back and Isaac has the studio moved to a new location and do overdubs.

It's really sounding good. So I'm saying it again. We're halfway there for funding the CD. We need your help. 20 bucks gets you a CD and a DL of all the tracks. 35 bucks gets you that and an extra CD of rough mixes and a couple of unreleased songs and special versions of songs from the CD including the title track, which, with typical brattiness, we have decided will only be on the extras CD (more on that as time goes along). And there are more levels with nifty stuff, including some of Lizzie's knitted wonderfulness.
