So ... sitting on the desk where I have all my recording stuff ... are 100 more CDs all put together ...

I declare at this moment that the first pressing is sold out ... long live the second pressing ...

Oh ... and a place in Duluth that I sent a disc/etc to has put me on their mailing list ... I don't know if that is a good sign or not ...

I just went out to the press ... they are printing the inside of the cover right now ... I grabbed one off and cut it up to make sure that it all sits the way that it should ...

it's not dry so it's covered with my fingerprints ... but ...

it came out just the way I wanted it ...

So ... cyan and yellow are on the page ... waiting for magenta and black on monday ...

well ... might not be those two colors ... but two colors are down ... should be cuttable on tuesday ... the CDs have shipped ... and should be here tuesday ...

it's been ordered ... cool ... my very first sale of the CD ... thanks to StarStraf ... course she has to wait 2 weeks to get it ... but ...

wow ... I sold copies of the first the first day it existed ... we had JUST burned 20 that afternoon (thanks polyfrog) ...

this one I got a pre-sale on ...

I am just TOO excited now ...

I've been working on the website ... it's still not done ... but I have Paypal info for ordering the new CD there now ... I still have to get the graphic up there ... but I only have Word to code with at the moment ... and my html skills are still lacking ... so there is a picture of the new CD missing ...

FUNFUNFUN ... getting closer all the time

The CD is going out to be duplicated today ... the cover is going to press today or tomorrow ... I have the jewel cases on order and they should be here next week ...

man ... I'm shaking ... I should have all the pieces in a week ...

I gotta thank my friend Dirk Newton ...

He and I wrote songs together 20 some years ago ... and then lost contact for some decades ...

He came in and laid down 6 tracks of lead guitar for me to choose from for Low Self Esteem ... some COOL stuff ...

I think that all guitar tracks are done ... I'm going to do one more version of Hides to choose from ... and then about half a dozen vocal redos or punch ins ... and Dirk's lead line on at least one song ... I should be able to mix down on sunday ...

Man ... it seems like it's been a long time ... but in the current setup I've only been recording a week or so ...

I still need to take the pictures for the cover ... but that will go fast ... the one thing I know I can do quickly is a cover design ... it's about half done ...

So ... I'm sitting here at the studio (such as it is) working on a song ... and I'm adding a big background reverb (using that BLOOM setting) running from the guitar's electronics ... and miking the guitar ... so the reverb won't saturate the "real" sound ... just be underpinning added on ...

Problem is ... I had to finally take the reverb out of my headphone mix ... since I kept going

"ooooh ... pretty" ... and forgetting where I was ... and I really do need to add vocals later ...

I was talking to the guy who gave me the recording gear yesterday ... I'm getting a hiss ... he asked me how I had things set up ...

I've been doing it wrong ... I get to start over now ... >>insert explicitive here<<

still ... means I can overdub ... so drums. bass and electric 12 string are on the way ... and I might still make it by my deadline ...
