ericcoleman: Cheshire Moon (Cheshire Moon)
This was a weekend of glorious shows!

Night one!

The Cheshire Moon Power Trio hit the stage. Old arrangements were discarded. New arrangements were made up on the fly. Songs were picked by nearly everyone!

Thank you for making this show so much fun. I have said many times that I want Cheshire Moon shows to be a conversation not a concert. And indeed it was tonight.

And we are done for the moment. We're going into writing mode, we want to finish Welcome To Callenwood by the end of the year ... we'll see!

First of all our thanks to Mike & Candy for yet another nifty place to go and play! You make it so much fun!

Thanks to Bryan Baker for herding all these cats!

Thanks to our fellow performers. It's been so much fun playing with everyone for so long now!

And thank you to the folks who come and listen, thank you for coming and living in all of our little worlds for awhile.

There was time where it looked like this was going to be our last Demicon Lite, we were going to move out to the Pacific Northwest. Instead, life changed, and you're stuck with us for at least a few more years! And even more, we're moving to Des Moines this summer!

THAT was fun! I mean really fun. We had a great time playing. I actually sang a song! The audience was interactive, as they should be at one of our shows. I had to remind myself to not look at my laptop during songs, since I wanted to comment then.

We have faster internet now, and it seems that we streamed better. CW seems to be having problems getting us the video, so I can't be certain. Please comment and let us know how it looked and sounded!

What we played, including a few things we have not done live before!

Children Of The Flame
Beast Within
Let The River Run (first time)
Gatekeeper
Waiting In The Deep (Mike Whitaker) (first time as a duo)
Bear Of The County Down (Trad-Pereckas-Coleman-Crowe) - (First time, and first time Eric singing in a show in a long time)

Winter's Night
Navigator
She Moved Through The Faire
Strength In The Fire

We got to the circle a bit late, and were pretty burned out by that point but we played a few songs.

It was a lovely weekend. Really, really what we needed.

Now we are off for a few months (there is a chance of one show later this summer).

Time for some relaxation. Time on the bikes, time at the pool. Time together where we're not traveling.
ericcoleman: Cheshire Moon (Cheshire Moon)
Music Walk is always fun. You get a lot of people for a couple of songs, then they move on. We got nice applause. I got to instrument geek a couple times. There was an adorable toddler who liked the music, but thought that the big guy in tie dye was kinda suspect. Smart kid!

Recording tomorrow. Still trying to get more preorders. We're about halfway there.

I found myself, a mere mortal surrounded by Goddesses.

One was an Amazon Warrior whose weapons were keyboard and bass and a voice that could be heard through all space and time.

The next was a wizard of the wires, keeping the magic flowing from our hands to the world. And then she would pick up the bass and lay down sly grooves.

Third, a beautifully mad creature of the desert and mountains, the imparter of darkly whimsical secrets with voice and bow.

Then the trickiest of all the pixies and the keeper of all the mischief, showing us the way.

And myself, sitting in the midst of this musical maelstrom, strumming at my strings and beating on my drum, hovering between bewildered and bemused.

Much mischief was done. Many truths were told. This must happen again. Both delightful and mildly terrifying, this is one of those moments that I live my life for.

Oh, and we played songs. So many songs.
