Snow doesn't sound like it's pounding through your windows and walls. Snow doesn't make booming noises that scares the kitten (and the kitten's mommy, LOL!!!). I will take a blizzard a hundred times over than all these severe storms.
Is the question: I would rather deal with, or I would rather avoid?
Both can be fun if you're properly equipped. Both can be a pain if you're not.
Back when I had my paper route, I preferred snow. Snow didn't get the papers wet, and could be shoveled. Water has this, well, fluidity, and gets in everywhere. But it's often *$%#! cold when there's a blizzard, and we have to assume no power in both cases. So, it's pretty much a tie all around.

Date: 2008-06-12 07:06 pm (UTC)Most floods only affect the people who build in a flood zone. Blizzards just dump white crap on everyone, regardless.
Plus .. if you have to flee from rising waters you don't have to do so wearing a parka, gloves, snow shoes or with chains on your tires.
Now a flood in a blizzard .. well you're corn-holed I guess.
