Headed off yesterday for Toyboat practice, and decided to head back right after.

So here I am ... only 600+ miles in two days ... that's not bad is it ???

Our daughter, her husband, and little girl arrived at a quarter to eleven. We welcomed them to their new home in Champaign.

We'll unpack the truck today. After that, preparations for kittencon. Our two oldest grandchildren finished raking the yard on Friday. The ManCave is a mess, Sean and I will have to deal.

I may have a new kids' story featuring Violet ready to write--Violet and the Sky Painters. Now that I know what I'm doing, the rewrite of the book is proceeding apace during the week. I reread King's On Writing this weekend to encourage myself.

I don't have it on the schedule yet (it'll go on when Cheron gets a few minutes) but I'll be doing a book-excerpt reading at 8 on the Friday of kittencon--stuff that no one's heard before at Cons.
