Duck ... oh yeah ... Glover, not so much. Tell me where you notice his playing ... He's a great vamper ... but there are a lot of great vampers out there.

Mark, same question ... do you notice him? Or is it the context?

I notice Glover's playing mostly on his solo material, which I realise not many folks have been into ("Butterfly Ball & Grasshopper's Feast" [soundtrack for a 70's Brit cartoon - WELL worth looking for, as it contains a number of top-notch performances], "Elements", and "Mask"). And I think he did a competent (a word I do NOT use as an insult) job with Deep Purple.

I think Andes's best work was with Spirit (where he stood out on a number of tracks, the Sardonicus album sticks in my mind), but he worked well with Heart also, especially early on.
