In this article on CNN.com today there was this quote ...

"Sources on Capitol Hill and at the Treasury Department said congressional and White House negotiators agreed upon checks of $600 per individual and $1,200 per couple."

Which is also known as $600 per person.

the last time i got $300, i had to DEDUCT THAT from the next year's tax refund.

(un)fortunately for me, i was so far under the poverty level at that time, i was still able to get a refund.
