Grab your tone and probe. Plug the toner into your wall jack. Wander down to the server room and find your patch. Move it to the optional port on your fire wall. Return to your desk and surf.
It's the IT equivalent of walking into your boss' office and taking a leak on his desk. Or pretty close to it anyway. You might be morally justified but you'd still get fired.
Oh, its not THAT bad. Hell, most people would just unplug it and put it back rather than trace it to find out where it went so its likely they'd never ever know.
Andyeah, its a little dirty but fun. Most things are.
