I would have picked one of the early Al Stewart LPs rather than the more populist Time Passages.

Rain Dogs is the beginning of his more recent sound, I think it's a pretty good choice, I do prefer the earlier stuff though, but that was when I got into his music.

Seriously though. Al is one of the few folks who remained interesting throughout. Great, smart lyrics with a strong sense of history, nice tunes and I love his voice.
