I sent the new CD to WWR and it's up on the station already. The nice thing, they have played two songs and the ratings have gone like this

a 5 star rating, a 3 star rating, and a 1 star rating ... oh well, can't have everything.

Now if I can just get some other folks to play it.

It was a very nice day. I heard a fair amount of my music, chatted with a bunch of folks. Hides played and several people rated it very high right away (I hadn't listened to the CD in some time, Hides is much better than I remembered)

It's been a very nice day. With there being virtually no shows in the future and the new CD not going anywhere at the moment. It felt good to be noticed.

As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, this tuesday I am the featured artist on Whole Wheat Radio. I will be phoning in bumpers throughout the day and expect to be in their chat room all evening from about 6pm on.

I will be at Conquest. I may be flat broke, I may sleep in my car, but I WILL be at Conquest if for no other reason than to see my clone Charles Piehl. Click on that picture at the risk of your sanity ...

I'm not getting a lot done recording today, but there are good reasons ... really.

Edit: Something has happened today that makes Conquest for certain. Space aliens must be involved ... oh ... Alymid ... I was right ...

So let's talk about Whole Wheat Radio.

alymid directed me to this station and I listen to it whenever I can. It's an indy folk internet station out of Talkeetna Alaska. You can hear all kinds of amazing music. Oddly enough you can hear my music as well. There is no accounting for taste.

Anyway, I am the featured artist April 25th.

They will be featuring my music all day. Here are some of the things they have told me.

Featuring artists is our way of focusing listener attention on a particular musician. Different songs from your CDs are played throughout the day, usually once every hour. A prominent notice that it's "Your Day" is posted in our chat along with a link to your website whenever one of your songs plays. The EJs (electronic DJs who sometimes have pronunciation issues but are part of the charm of Whole Wheat Radio) announce that it's "Your Day" every hour. We'll also surf your website live on-air at random times during the day when we are talking on the microphones. By the end of the day listeners generally know who you are and what your tunes sound like.
