Robyn Hitchcock
Nov. 6th, 2007 12:07 amWow, an amazing show. Sean Nelson (from Harvey Danger) opened up and was very fun and very charming and a slighty adequate piano player (he's just learning so he can do solo shows)
Robyn did about 75 minutes (with Sean singing on a few songs) and covered pretty much his entire career. He was also way more than polite to a raving fanboy who had a stack of stuff (that is now put neatly back on his CD shelf) to get signed ... and I do mean a stack ... I would guess that he gets someone likeme that every show ...
Attempting to discuss tunings with him was ... well ... less than enlightening. I'm not entirely sure he knows what the tunings are specifically, just that he tunes to them. He also seemed to be frequently hypnotized by my shirt (I was right down front)
I shoulda taken my camera ...
