Eric's House Of Ego

I had a busy day yesterday. I went to pick up WSPA-3 and she and I went to Mayhem (local game store looking for a book), Target (to get Lizzie's present), Ames British Foods (for chocolate) and Dahls (for the cake). My legs held up well, my knee was no problem at all.

I took a bit of a nap when I got home, and then the party began.

It was a lovely evening. Much conversation, many funny stories and a bit of music.

My highlight, I started playing a piece that I am working on for Cheshire Moon and Jared joined in. I set down the foundation for him and he took off. A bit of soloing but mostly adding and augmenting over the chords I was playing. He was exceptional.

This morning my legs are sore, I had some problem sleeping last night because of them, but I feel great. My knee is not an issue at all today. I walked a lot and my legs are sore. It's one of those good pains. One of those "heading in the right direction" pains.

I do intend to take it very very easy today however.

Finally, most important of all, the person the party was for, my lovely bride the fabulous Lizzie. I love you, happy birthday!

Lizzie & Eric are having their wedding celebration/house warming party!

Yes indeed, there were a lot of you who were not able to attend the wedding, so we're finally having a party for the Iowa folks!

If all goes well and the weather is nice we may have movies in the back yard after dark. A friend is (hopefully) going to bring a grill (since we don't have one yet), so there may be grilling on the deck (we have a deck!). There will be games, cause we have room for that now! There will be music (since we know a lot of musicians, so if you are one, bring an instrument). And it being our house, there will be lots and lots of conversation.

The party starts at 3pm on September 24 and goes till people go home.

Please RSVP so we have a good idea of how many are showing up. I will post updates as I have them (as stated above, movies and grill are still tentative, music and conversation is not).

We do have cats, so if that is a problem for you, please plan accordingly. They will be downstairs for the party, but their presence will still be felt (those darn long hairs).

Our kids will be there, so feel free to bring yours. If you have a toddler, be aware that our house may not be completely toddler-safe (my youngest is 10).

As always with these groups, you may need to adjust settings so you don't get every reply as email, one of those wonderful FB features that we all love so well. If you don't want any more notices about this, we won't be hurt if you remove yourself.
