As the hours go by, they keep removing tubes. Bye bye tubes. Bonnie's getting used to her double-wide wheel chair (all the going back and forth between the Family Lounge and the ICU is hard on a broken foot). Chas has been eating. Red stuff, orange stuff, frozen orange stuff, warm yellow stuff, and juice. I'm content with Chai tea and knitting Cthulhu baby hats. Things are a bit fuzzy with all the lack of sleep going on. Thank goodness for all the practice with all night music parties. Thank goodness for everything going as well as possible.

Quick update: Chas has had a mild heart attack. Triple bypass earlier. He's in cardiac ICU. He is starting to come out of the anesthesia. He gave us a big thumbs-up when he was told the breathing tube might be coming out soon. YAY!!!!!

They're starting to ween Chas off of the breathing tube. Not fast enough as far as he's concerned. Our Chas, he's one fiesty guy!

The tube is out!!! Chas is not talking (much) yet but he's certainly maintained his typical sense of humor (refering to his hospital b racelets as 'my bling'). Bonnie has (finally) eaten some breakfast and we've decided that sleep is for the weak! We're waiting for shift change to finish before heading back to the room.the room. Thanks for all the well wishes. I'll keep passing them on.
