What better day to make a major announcement than April Fools Day!

Really, no fooling.

We’re moving this summer. Originally it was to be to the Pacific Northwest, but with what the current administration is trying to do with health care, I need to keep my current job.

We have made an offer, and it has been accepted, for a lovely little ranch style house on the north side of Des Moines. A June move looks likely!

The house is wonderful, and it includes a great music circle / house concert / movie theater space in the basement. Our instrument room / practice space will be on the same level as our car, so no carrying cases up a flight of stairs every time we get home from a show!

We are excited, terrified, and now impatient, I want to be in there tomorrow!

And yes, somewhere towards the end of summer, there will be a party!

Life could not better be.

Now I'm reminded of "Pessimistkonsulten" (the consultant of pessimism), which ends with "if you're dreaming of Paris, you will still in some way end up in Hudiksvall" (basically a really boring place).

We are trading up. Des Moines is much more fun that Ames, which is a college town that has never quite worked out what a college town should be.

Reilly is 18, and is graduating HS next month. She's been living with her Mom for the last two years. We could have moved already, but didn't because we were still thinking about the PNW.
