About my thumb.

I have had issues with Carpal Tunnel for a couple years now. Nothing terrible, but annoying. To play an hour show with Toyboat took about an hour of stretches and warmups.
We had a rehearsal the weekend before Capricon, and everything seemed ok. My hands were a little sore, working with brushes rather than sticks made me do things differently.
Capricon ... I played drums in 4 shows and strings for another. The next day and for several days after my left thumb hurt at the base, I had obviously strained something. I started sleeping with a brace on, that has helped in the past.
It got worse, a week or so ago the knuckle joint in my thumb started clicking when I moved it. Not a good thing. It hurt a little sometime and more than anything else, it was annoying. Last night I went to the doctor. They ran X-Rays and nothing is broken. I am going to a hand specialist Tuesday. Best case scenario, I get a cortisone shot. Worst case. Well, let's just hope that I don't need to cancel any Cheshire Moon shows, we have several in the next couple of months.
Toyboat has nothing going at the moment, we're going to start getting ready to record a new CD, hopefully this summer. I hope I can continue playing the drums. We'll see.
