I bought a bike

And just made it around the block on it ... ok, that doesn't seem like much, but I'm a 51 year old fat man. It felt great.

Once upon a time I was a semi-serious road biker. That was 30 years and 2/3rds of my body weight ago. I don't think I will ever get back to that, but I want to be able to ride my bike around town if I want.

You are not alone. I'm still at 2.5 miles. I think it's going to be a few weeks before I get much past that after 15 years of not riding.
