Date: 2010-01-03 09:31 pm (UTC)It's amazing what great-sounding players you can get for relatively small change now. I got an amazing 5-disc changer that just flat out SOUNDS good, for $60. Better than my old (and high-end but not that high-end) one. I mean, $60 for a player that originally cost over $800 and has a THD levels that are still lower than anything new I can find including Blu-ray and HDCD players. You can actually hear the difference. It's creeeeepy. ;) People are still paying serious bucks for the one-disc-and-unit-weighs-in-at-40# Yamaha CDX-1xxxU line (originally over a grand).
