What is your favorite bad movie.

I'd have to say Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone. It's a dog ... it's silly, cheap, badly acted and a ton of fun. Molly Ringwald (the year before 16 Candles made her a star) is hysterical, or obnoxious, or both depending on your point of view. Michael Ironside is having way too much fun to be in this movie. Ernie Hudson is doing the same part you have seen him do time and time again. The effects are laughable, the creatures are silly. It's marvelous. I think I may subject the WSPA to it this weekend (yes I do own it). OH, it was in 3D in the first run. What else could you want from a bad movie?

So, own up.

Mine is Polish Vampire in Burbank ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089823/ ) which has a vampire living with his parents who can't get himself to bite anyone.

Its a toss up

I have worked out what was bad and what was good.
GOOD: Sets, stunts, costumes, props, plot(sort of), Gina Davis, cinematography,

BAD: Writing, acting, accent disparity

Much as it shames me to say it, most of the Emmannuelle in Space series are comedy bad.

Spacehunter: rocks, though, and it is, IIRC a sequel. It certainly obeys the Rule of Sequels, which states that in any low-budget SciFi sequel, Michael Ironside must play the villain.

Ah, I have a deep and abiding fondness of Baffled!. Race car driver has visions of people being killed and says so on television, a girl saying she's studying ESP turns up saying it's all true and he's not crazy ... and off they go gallivanting to England to solve the mystery of it all. It's about as bizarre as the synopsis sounds, not really convincing, and yet great, great fun.

I suppose it's almost cheating to list this one, but someone has to speak up for Plan 9 from Outer Space - possibly the most incompetent film ever. Best line EVER: "He's been murdered, and someone's responsible!"

Seconded with a will. I hadn't seen it in, like, the entire MST3K/RiffTrax era, and after years of shit like Manos: The Hands of Fate and The Room, you can get complacent, even (pun intended) MSTie-eyed over Plan 9.

But last week, the RiffTrax guys did a live broadcast to theaters, riffing P9FOS, and oh my god it's far, far worse than I remember. How bad is it? Even Tor Johnson gets exposition.

Truly, the winner and still champeen.

I am unsure what it is about this movie, but I continue to watch it every so often.

Star Wars. A terrible movie that I loved every minute of.

I have fond memories of Ishtar. A lousy movie, but the lousy songs that the lousy songwriters come up with are delicious.

I was Troma-tized!

Just this past week, I survived seeing Vegas In Space, a 1991 effort from the Troma studios that looked more like 1971 than 1991 before I found the imdb page above. Watching was on a challenge from a friend.
Plot: Three soldiers are ordered to change their gender (via a pill) and are sent on a secret mission (undercover as show girls) to a women only planet's capital city "Vegas in Space."

The Amorous Mis-Adventures of Casanova, aka Sex on the Run, starring Tony Curtis as Casanova and a lookalike. Lush, authentic-looking 18th-century costumes, lotsa women taking theirs off, and a plotline that makes your average bad film look like Masterpiece Theatre.

A few of my personal 'favorites' are The Dark Side of the Moon, Moontrap, and Nightflyers. Oh and Eliminators, the one with Denise Crosby in it. I have tons of other 'bad movie' loves, but those are the ones I've rewatched the most. And I don't believe any of them are on DVD. And I just remembered DeepStar Six, which is on DVD but only full frame in the States.

Young Einstein. I saw it five times theatrically during its two-week run and countless times on DVD. The theater standee was in my bedroom at one point years ago.
