25 years ago this week it happened. Tetris was let loose on the unsuspecting world.

I have spent too many hours on this game (and others like it)

So, what is your favorite Tetris variant? It's a tossup for me between Blockout or a really nifty freeware of Welltris that was available on the Amiga. I haven't found a decent working version of Welltris in some time, but a really good version of Blockout is available here (PC only)

I was a whiz on the NES Tetris. I play the same basic game on my cell phone.

I also loved Dr. Mario, which required stacking colored pills to eliminate lines, had a great two-player interface (interfering with the other player!), and had awesome peppy music.

I started to worry when I would see falling blocks while watching the news on TV. I got *really* worried when I found myself arranging them so that I could get rid of the anchor's head.
