I suspect the responses have a direct correlation with the percentage of the respondents have actually finished their tax returns :-) Me? Finished last night, will file an amended return later when I have things more organized (without having all of our deductions lined up, we're due a rather large refund, which will hopefully finish off the balance owed from previous years)

I might sound amazingly pollyanna here, but the taxes thing isn't so bad. I use TurboTax. OTOH maybe getting probed by aliens is fun . . .

The thing is, with all of the online programs available, doing your taxes really isn't that hard assuming you have all your documentation ready. I think it took me all of about a half-hour to complete this year's taxes.

And getting every cent of my state tax back: Very nice.
