The big Yin
Jan. 16th, 2009 01:18 pmBilly Connolly had a routine about a flight he took. He was going on what he referred to as "one of those Buddy Holly killing planes" in Africa. The pilot walks over in shorts and flip flops and says "hi, I'm Reg".
Connolly then goes off on a rant about, first, pilots should wear long trousers, but also that they should not be named Reg. They should have a proper name like Nigel Carruthers.
Yesterday he was proved correct beyond any doubt. The pilot of the plane that went down yesterday was named Chesley B. Sullenberger III.

I can't wait for Larry King to interview him, that should be terrific. ;-)
