So ... I'm looking for ideas

Radio Capricon is slowly getting off the ground for this year. So I am looking for ideas.
If anyone has an idea for a show, let me know. If anyone wants to record a show for the station, let me know. If anyone wants to be on the air at the Con, let me know. I can always use help. The station runs in hour increments.
But mostly I am looking for your opinion. What do you think is the greatest science fiction song of all time, and what do you think is the greatest fantasy song of all time? Inquiring minds want to know. They can be filk songs, they can be from other sources. But I want to know what you think.

Radio Show Ideas
Date: 2009-01-11 04:04 pm (UTC)When I lived in Winnipeg I did a radio show there for many years (CKJS)Prairie Ceilidh which is still running and is streamed live, which is a celtic show but I always managed to play some filk and even did whole shows introducing mundanes to Filk Music.
You can still see my web page on my show with pictures at www.dandelionwine.net and just click on the Prairie Ceilidh page. I played a lot of Meg Davis (Captain Jack/Elf Glade and many others like Swing the Cat) and Heather Alexander (most of her stuff) along with Dandelion Wine of course and I even included taped messages and interviews and intros from Heather, Urban Tapestry and whoever I could record at cons. You know "Hi this is Heather Alexander and you are listening to Radio Capricon the best damm filk show around. I played all genres of filk music from science fiction (Hope Ayrie) to fantasy to media filk to filk rock (ookla) to filk from other countries (Kay and Yu from Germany) Phoenix and Tim and Annie from England. I found the filkers from those countries actually tuned in on line to hear the show over there which was really cool to share. I sometimes did a fantasy show or science fiction or a mix of everything.
If you are coming to FKO this year we can talk more about it. Love the idea and I would love to do a show sometime if you can fill me in on how to send it to you. I have a lot of classic filk stuff that no one else has and even some never heard Dandelion Wine stuff which if Dave approves I could send. Dave C is here in Toronto right now with me working on the new Dandelion Wine CD.
