Exactly... which is why I always vote to turn out the judges on the ballot, I always vote against any given board of directors up for reelection, etc.

If it's a simple shall we keep this person in place vote the answer is always no. If I have to choose between multiple people I may choose to leave the same person in place, but then again I may not.
