... that they arrested one of Democrats committing voter registration fraud ... oh ... oops

Here's the thing I don't get about this... who cares. He's making people register as Republicans. Big Whoop. No one makes them actually vote Republican. I don't know whether CA has closed primaries or not but that would be the only impact as far as I can tell.

Sure... but when people talk about voter fraud I'm usually hearing it of... they're registering hundreds of people who don't even exist. This is one guy lying so that he can then go ahead and register other people. Illegeal. Sure. Should he be arrested for it... sure. Voter Fraud. Sure. But it's not the smoking gun that people are making it out to be. It's one man misrepresenting himself. Not signing up all sorts of other people who have no business being registered. And no the irony isn't lost on me that it's a Republican being nailed for this when they're busy crying to the wind about Demorcartic voter fraud.

Yeah, there's a big difference, Acorn is registering people who are demographically likely to vote Democratic and this guy is a Republican. Acorn is therefore inherently evil and must be attacked for any hint of impropriety they can trump up, while this guy is inherently good and we don't need to be concerned about a minor mistake.

I hate the rich people's attitude that rich people keeping all their money is more important than government letting non-rich people have a decent existence and society not falling apart. I hate the religious right's intent to impose a Christian theocracy. But above all, I hate the unbridled hypocrisy that's not even tempered with feigned embarrassment when they're called on it.

Ah, but what you fail to grasp is that these rich people don't think they are rich. But still, they feel that they are being taxed to death and that any increase in taxes they have to pay is an offense worse than any further indignity that may have to be suffered by people who are already used to suffering anyway.

I mean I get it... the Republicans have been crying and shouting about Acorn. Sure there are bad registrations in the data and they're blowing things out of proportion for political purposes. This is one guy who registered illegally and now the Democrats are now trying to be making a big thing out of it.

It gets ugly because of the peculiarities of CA law that says you must be registered in the state to run a registration drive. So this guy is illegally registered to get other people registered. It's illegal, but from what I can read these are good registrations except for the fact that they're being quietly registered as Republicans for whatever that buys. So I guess technically everything this guy touched should be thrown out since it was illegal for him to register people, but if it's a good registration I'm all for more people being registered to vote.

We've seen three guys charged in Milwaukee in the past few weeks, same issue.

Voter Fraud is a bi-partisan spectator sport.

There is one way to settle this, you know - we all head to Mickey Mouse's residence in Disneyland, CA and ASK him who he's gonna vote for.
