Olivier, because I love the part where he goes up to Mr. Bumble with the bowl and asks for more food.

Gielgud was just about as good, and more consistent. Olivier was the better actor, except when he was the biggest ham on the planet.

For every one of Larry's Richard 2, there's an Othello.

Mind you, most of Gielgud's great performances were onstage, so necessarily limited in audience numbers.
They both played Othello actually, and were as bad as each other, by all accounts....so what do I know?
