I gave a choice between north face and south face on Everest.

I'm curious why who picked what, even if it was just a random choice.

Being an old south sider, I hadda go with the south face. 'sides, some fashion-forward fascist trendy clothing company stole the north face name...

I chose north face with the understanding (erroneous or not) that it is the more difficult route. I was also influenced a BIT by the branding. *ducks*
