I haven't seen confirmation yet, but apparently Dave Stevens has died of leukemia.

Damn damn damn!! I am sorry to hear this news. I followed the Rocketeer during the entire time it came out from Pacific Comics (initially as a back-up in Starslayer), then Eclispe comics, then later Comico. I cheered when the Disney movie came out, although I never understood why they change Cliff's girlfriend's name from Betty to Jenny (in the comics, she was a Betty Page clone but they did not go for that look in the movie). I also read DNAgents when it came out from Eclispe, dispite the long times between issues 1 & 2 (a year) and 2 & 3 (six months). I know that I followed other stuff he did although I can not think of it off the top of my head.
