So, this took less time than I thought.

[livejournal.com profile] quadrivium, [livejournal.com profile] billroper, [livejournal.com profile] filkertom and [livejournal.com profile] marcgunn all said go with CD Baby.

I dunno, it's a scary bunch.

The CDs are on the way, I have signed up for the digital distribution. Thanks for playing everyone.

Good! I buy from there all the time, which means I can finally get some of your music. Yay! *hugs*

I just did the same (got a free deal through the place that did my CD duplication). It looks awesome, doesn't it?

I've had my CDs at CD Baby
for probably the last 4 years.
I finally signed up (again)
for the few people who are
CD baby shoppers.

Most of my sales have
come through awarestore

If I had read the other post in time, I too would have suggested CD Baby. My new album is on the way to them as I type. The digital distribution can't be beat. They do all the work and then the money goes right into my bank account!

I am a happy customer of CD Baby, never had a problem with them over the last three years.

I'm late to this chorus, but I coulda swore I bugged you to do this about 6 months ago, maybe I dreamt it. I've been very happy w/ CD-Baby. They are very responsive to questions and have been top-notch w/ me.

I'm on the "everything that pays" digital plan (they have different opt-in levels). Only ones that have produced anything at all so far have been iTunes, CD-Baby itself (they do a nice DRM-Free download right on your page there, and only take their 10% off those, so you get the full 90% of retail there, not 90% after the other store takes it's cut) and Napster paid listens.

They've recently added Amazon to the mix too, so I have downloads available there, w/o dealing w/ them direct.

They also have a GREAT podcast for music marketing - check it out. Also lots and lots of great advice articles.

Oh, and I have a CC swiper that they provided for live sales - then they process them and only take the 10% cut they do downloads. Cash is better of course, but I'm glad I have the option.
