I spend a lot of my time on the phone with my company's various offices. I troubleshoot, track and generally answer most of the questions that have to do with my specific division. We have a couple of offices in different states that have a city that is named the same. I just had this Abbott and Costello sort of conversation
Me: What office are you in?
She: I'm in Portland
Me: Portland Maine or Portland Oregon?
She: I don't know.
Me: What state are you in?
She: I'm in Portland.
Me: Maine or Oregon?
She: What?
Me: What state are you in?
She: Oregon!
Me: FIRST BASE !!!
Ok, I made that last one up, but that is what I wanted to say. I hate having to be a professional about this sometimes.
