Here are the rules.

Answer only one quote.

If you answer more than one I will delete your reply. If there are quotes still not answered the next day I will open it up to any and all guesses.

Most weeks there is a theme. If there is not a theme I will tell you. The theme is open to guess even if you have guessed a quote.

[livejournal.com profile] polyfrog spots the really really tough theme this week, Geeze what is the matter with the rest of you? It's Christmas Movies !!!

Don't use a search engine (like this can be enforced). If you don't know, you don't know. Maybe next week you will.

You must either be signed into LJ, or say who you are (in case you are a friend of mine who is not on LJ). All anonymous answers will be deleted (hey, I'm obsessive, I want to know who guesses these). Oh, and don't guess as a reply to someone else's guess, on a busy day that makes it hard for me to spot your answer.

01 A gentle smile often breeds a kick in the pants. [livejournal.com profile] controuble wishes you a Merry Holiday Inn
02 No siree! We're going out the good ol' fashioned way. Prancer and Dancer and Donder and Blitzen, and Vixen and Nixon... oh, consarnit I get those names mixed up, but the KIDS know their names. [livejournal.com profile] filkertom wishes you a Merry Santa Claus Conquers The Martians
03 It's just like Santa's workshop! Except it smells like mushrooms... and everyone looks like they wanna hurt me. [livejournal.com profile] wylderwolf wishes you a Merry Elf
04 It is required of every man that the spirit within him should walk abroad among his fellow men! If it goes not forth in life, it is condemned to do so after death! [livejournal.com profile] greenmansgrove wishes you a Merry A Christmas Carol aka Scrooge
05 Come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs. [livejournal.com profile] the2wittybird wishes you a Merry Die Hard
06 For the past 50 years or so I've been getting more and more worried about Christmas. Seems we're all so busy trying to beat the other fellow in making things go faster and look shinier and cost less that Christmas and I are sort of getting lost in the shuffle. [livejournal.com profile] barondave wishes you a Merry Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
07 They're watching Snow White. And they love it. [livejournal.com profile] lickintoadz wishes you a Merry Gremlins
08 See that garbage can full of salt? That's where he keeps his victims. The salt turns the bodies... into mummies. [livejournal.com profile] eye_ar_smaurt wishes you a Merry Home Alone
09 Attacked by Christmas toys? That's strange, that's the second toy complaint we've had. [livejournal.com profile] bammba_m wishes you a Merry A Nightmare Before Christmas
10 I mean you shouldn't mix fairy tales with liverwurst and buttermilk. [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise wishes you a Merry White Christmas
11 Can you believe this? It's Christmas Eve and we got orders to bring in Santa Claus. [livejournal.com profile] wwetuesday wishes you a Merry Silent Night, Deadly Night
12 Remember the night we broke the windows in this old house? This is what I wished for. [livejournal.com profile] mplsfish wishes you a Merry It's A Wonderful Life

It's a classic!

The Martians have such clever names! (The little girl Martian (Pia Zidora in her first and I feel her finest role) is named GirMar, and the little boy is BoMar. The mom Martian? MoMar.)

Mystery Science Theater 3000 did a number on it, and of course it's available on DVD now. That's the best way to see it, IMHO.

Okay, I'm going to take a chance: 6 sounds an awful lot like it's from Miracle on 34th St. (Probably the earlier one.)

Theme: Movies that lie to little kids

I'm guessing # 10 is White Christmas. Bing Crosby to Rosemary Cloony right before they sing Counting my Blessings.
