Romney has gone, in one week, from "I think I could deal with him as President" to "NFW, absolutely NFW" with me. The Tancredo endorsement, plus attacking Huckabee (Huckabee!) for criticizing Bush foreign policy? Fail. Fail the moderate sniff test. He's either with, or courting, the militarist PNAC Cheney/Rumsfeld, let's-dominate-the-world-with-nukes contingent. So fuck Romney, too. Giuliani is now the only Republican nominee not in my "move to Canada if that monster is elected" group. And I don't like Giuliani at all.

Still waiting to see what Ron "crazy granpa" Paul will do to the numbers, but then I'm in NH, and he's likely to get Democrat votes up here. (2/3 of registered voters are reg'd independent, so can elect which party ballot to take at the polling place.)

Okay, granted. Ron Paul has not demonstrated anything that horrified me yet. But he's so off the media radar that he hadn't occurred to me.

Ron is, IMNSHO, just a little bit of crazy. He is running mostly on abolishing the tax system. He doesnt say HOW he is going to abolish the tax system, nor does he talk about how the president doesnt really have the authority to do this. But people still buy it.
