Talisman Edition 4 is out.



I didn't know there was going to be an edition 4 till a couple of weeks ago.

Edition 3 was abysmal. Edition 2 was and is still one of the most fun games I have ever played. I have a double set of everything.

So, I pre-ordered E4 a week or so ago and got it in the mail today. Taking a quick look at the rules, it seems to be a slightly updated version of the E2 game engine. At least one house rule (that you gain craft the same way you gain strength) has been incorporated into the rules.

It needs expansions (player sheets make the game easier) but generally it looks amazing, great artwork, a nice box and the rules seem to make sense.

funfunfun ... so who wants to come over to my place this week to play ???

Oh, and I'll bring this with me this weekend to Pythonacon, who is going to that ???

Timescape is my personal favorite... if we're going to streamline things we leave out Dragons since it completely breaks and unbalances the game.

If you pull a couple of the big dragons out, it works pretty well.
