I think that we, as a community, need to fill this niche. We need a site where we can all contribute and edit articles, so that everyone can stay informed about those oddities that the other newspapers ignore.

The creator of the webcomic Girls With Slingshots also does the Batboy comic strip in Weekly World News. She posted that she was told this past Monday that WWN shuts down this Friday. That is kind of sad, it took the tabloid newspaper to the rediculous levels that none of the others dared go to.
