Date: 2007-07-13 04:38 pm (UTC)A few years later, I had a friend fix the damage (he was thinking about opening a body repair shop, and I was his experiment). He did a good job, I paid for it, and finally got it home (had to adjust the carburator on the fly in Kansas to make it back).
Three months (to the day) I got back with it, I got side-swiped (yes, the left rear quarter panel).
My advice? You get a new car, immediately grab a sledge hammer and whollop it somewhere. At least that way, you can pick your own spot...
