Here are the rules ... everybody sing along !!!

Answer only one quote.

If you answer more than one I will delete your reply. If there are quotes still not answered the next day I will open it up to any and all guesses.

Most weeks there is a theme. If there is not a theme I will tell you. The theme is open to guess even if you have guessed a quote.

The Theme has been guessed by [livejournal.com profile] selenesue, it is Errol Flynn movies ... since it's his birthday wednesday

Don't use a search engine (like this can be enforced). If you don't know, you don't know. Maybe next week you will.

You must either be signed into LJ, or say who you are (in case you are a friend of mine who is not on LJ). All anonymous answers will be deleted (hey, I'm obsessive, I want to know who guesses these)

01 This is what I call a timely interruption! [livejournal.com profile] exapno says this is from Captain Blood, and ya'know, she's right (one of my favorite lines of all time)
02 When this is over, my friend, there'll be no need for me to come again. And the first strike comes from [livejournal.com profile] selenesue who rightly says that this is from The Adventures Of Robin Hood
03 The only real native of Kansas is the buffalo. He's got a very hard head, a very uncertain temper and a very lonely future. Apart from that there's hardly any comparison between you.
04 Brave, but impractical. Now we English are a practical people. I've no intention of drowning with you. [livejournal.com profile] exapno says this is from The Sea Hawk, and ya'know, she's right
05 Well, as I remember, half of Leavenworth takes a bath and the other half gets drunk. And since there are only two bathtubs in town, things get kind of exciting around midnight.
06 To hell, Sharp... or to glory. It depends on one's point of view.
07 The first time I saw you fight I was just a bit of a kid. There wasn't a man alive who could have stood up to you then. And tonight, well, I was just mighty glad that you weren't the John L. Sullivan of ten years ago. [livejournal.com profile] shsilver says this is from Gentleman Jim, and ya'know, he's right
08 Sweet lady, love is not measured in terms of time, only in ecstasy! [livejournal.com profile] controuble says this is from The Adventures Of Don Juan, and ya'know, she's right
09 I don't think the flogger needed to have carried it out with such gusto. [livejournal.com profile] exapno says this is from Against All Flags, and ya'know, she's right
10 Would you have me leave these poor, lonesome bits of depravity? I'm about to enrich the lives and experience of them! [livejournal.com profile] exapno says this is from The Master of Ballantrae, and ya'know, she's right

I spotted more than one of these and have a guess at the theme: ERROL FLYNN.

#2 is obviously THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD.

7: "Gentleman Jim" (1942) (Sullivan was played by the incomparable Ward Bond).

9. My first thought was "The Court Jester", but he's not in that one. So I'm going to take a wild swing and say "The Adventures of Don Juan".

Don Juan (I think there's more to the title than that, though)

Can't remember if we're allowed more than one this time? If so, here's a couple more from the other end...
9 - Against All Flags
10 - Master of Ballantrae

Will leave a few for the others :)

well, my first intro to him WAS the swashbucklers :) Westerns came much later. Mostly tho, of the leftovers (except Blood) i figured those might be a bit more well-known so thought it'd be better to take the ones that tend to be discussed less (at least around me). *shrug*
