I've been meaning to do another of these for ages now. Here are 10 quotes from 10 movies. All of them are from the 50s and before. Good luck.

1 - I'd like to get in, get on with it, get it over with, and get out. [livejournal.com profile] selenesue from Court Jester (with [livejournal.com profile] singlemaltsilk coming in just moments later

2 - Well there are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn't advise you to try to invade. [livejournal.com profile] the2wittybird from Casablanca

3 - Mustard's no good without roast beef. [livejournal.com profile] 1phish2phish from Monkey Business

4 - You're like the thief who isn't the least bit sorry he stole, but is terribly, terribly sorry he's going to jail. [livejournal.com profile] mplsfish from Gone With The Wind

5 - You know something, Verna, if I turn my back long enough for Big Ed to put a hole in it, there'd be a hole in it. [livejournal.com profile] wormquartet from White Heat

6 - Drown in a vat of whiskey. Death, where is thy sting? [livejournal.com profile] exapno from Never Give A Sucker An Even Break

7 - There wasn't an F name in the Bible, so they named him Frankincense, because he smelled so sweet. [livejournal.com profile] ntrlstgrl from Seven Brides For Seven Brothers

8 - It's not a pretty face, I grant you, but underneath its flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character. [livejournal.com profile] 1phish2phish from An American In Paris

9 - I rarely use it myself, sir. It promotes rust. [livejournal.com profile] filkertom from Forbidden Planet

10 - But we've got something he wants. and I will give the last one to [livejournal.com profile] exapno since no one else seems to be getting it ... It's from King Kong, just after Ann and Jack have come back through the wall.

And just for the record [livejournal.com profile] exapno sent me email with the correct answers for 8 out of ten, and knew who said one of the other two ... scary ...

Hee hee hee

Adam, Benjamin, Caleb, Daniel, Ephram, Frankincense, and Gideon.

And yes I can do that without looking it up. Wheeee!

And that was back in the day before Julie Newmar changed her name.

Oh thank goodness I'm listening to Jonny Lang because otherwise I'd have all sorts of SBfSB lyrics running amuck in my head!!

Well it's good...

Narcisistic of me to think you would remember that. It was longer ago than I thought.
I am a huge fan. I watch it at least every year. Since high school.

Getting in late on this quiz. Is #1 from THE COURT JESTER? Danny Kaye, hypnotized to think he is Giacomo the jester/assassin, planning murders with Basil Rathbone?

I second the vote...that's what I thought it was but I wasn't 100% certain.

That is such a great movie!!!

LOL

I figured out 6 & 10 by cheating and looking them up...I'm not surprised no one has come up with 6, but I am surprised about 10. Well except for [livejournal.com profile] exapno who I'm guessing did, according to the post.

*grin*

And now good night if I could just get calmed down...where the hell is that valerian...

I cheated on 6 & 10, too, and am surprised that I didn't remotely recognize 6. Clearly I haven't been watching the right movies (or cable channels); I used to know a bunch of those lines.

*hangs head in shame* I have never even heard of #6...but I am a little surprised I didn't remember #10 because I just watched the original in preparation for the (more recent) remake...

This was fun...Eric should do it again. :P

LOL

Ok back to work now...
