Mark Burgess in Chicago Sunday night

So, I'm playing in Minneapolis saturday.

Mark Burgess, ex-lead singer/bassist of the twice late and much lamented Chameleons is playing in Chicago Sunday night ... I'm considering.

Do I want to do the sensible thing, and just come home sunday, or do I want to drive to Chicago sunday and see Mark play, and then drive back Monday?

I missed the Chameleons one and only reunion tour. I've never seen Mark with his band before.

So, wadda ya think ???

I'd probably have to stay somewhere on the north side this time ... speaking of which, I need to double check with someone ...

that is as far north as Chez Dork is south ... so I dunno ...

I'm currently leaning toward NOT driving 900 miles this weekend

Only you know how much pain the extra driving is for you and how important it is to see the band, but if you don't have obligations on Monday, it's a good plan in principle. Always go places and do things as much as you can without undermining the foundation of your life. (Don't travel so much your kids forget what you look like. Don't spend so much traveling you can't afford the rent. Don't wreck your health (or your car!) by driving when you need to be sleeping.)

Oh, I picked up The Marx Brothers: In A Nutshell on DVD finally ... haven't had a chance to watch it all the way through, but I guess there is extra footage in it ...
