Or possibly Minneapolis... it's hard to tell with the roads out there.
Master Eric, after traveling for 90 minutes has managed a whopping 35 miles on his journey to Mars... con... yea, ya'lll try to be witty after 4 hours of sleep. Um... sorry guess you probably trying just that after the first night of the con.
He does believe the roads will get better the farther north of Ames he gets... yes, we all know he can be a bit delusional.
More updates from the road as he calls in.

2 mile an hour
Date: 2007-03-03 04:55 pm (UTC)The dead stop turned out to be a jack-knifed truck blocking most of both lanes... actually he did a bit better than 2 miles an hour, 2 miles in 40 minutes... someone smarter than me up there can do the math, I don't do math on Saturday.
He's back up to a grand ole 40 miles an hour now.
He's also looking for some witty comments to these updates and is quite disappointed no one has responded as yet. So please, add a few comments so I can read 'em to him over the phone when he checks in next!
Later

Date: 2007-03-03 05:15 pm (UTC)Tell him that the roads had better cooperate, because I've been looking forward to his set at the con all week! Don't know if it's a witty comment but it's the truth. (c:

Date: 2007-03-03 05:50 pm (UTC)He wants you all to know that in his Herculean efforts to reach Mars he is bypassing his favorite record store in the known universe... which oddly enough is located in Mason City. You probably can imagine the pain and suffering the poor boy is going through. I'm certain there was a bit of a crisis in that car as he passed the exit.
Sympathy cards are welcome, no gifts please.
