I did WYSIWYG last night. Pretty good set, I played with some of the stop and go rhythms and dynamics, some of which worked and some of which didn't. But it comes along.

On the other hand, the wednesday night open mike has shut down, and moved to thursdays at a smoking venue. So that is one less place to go play.

I need a regular local gig.

Jon may be up for an open mic kind of night and it's a non-smoking coffee shop...it's the one we tried to go to Wednesday night and was closed, darn them. He has music there once in a blue moon...as far as I know it's not a regular thing. And I think he'd laugh his ass off at your stuff. :) 515.223.4442 The owner's name is Jon Groves or Graves; I can never remember which, which is pathetic since I've been going there for close to three years. ARGH

Anyway, they friended me on myspace, and are looking for musicians. I just sent them a demo ... so ... maybe

I think that's what it was called...it's on Ashworth near 60th street near a gas station. Yup...just double-checked the "frequent buyer" card. Amici's
