the weekend so far

I'm a little grumpy. It is rare that anyone gets on my nerves at a con, but my frame of mind is not all that good at the moment and two folks managed to annoy me ... odd ... but probably more me than them. One I expect it from and the other I don't know, so I don't know what to expect.

To add to that ... I was walking out to the lobby just a bit ago. I don't know if I mentioned this, but I have a hernia ... and it's in my belly button ... yeah I know ... silly, but still occasionally painful. It will get fixed sometime soon, but not yet.

There was a small child and for some reason she thought it would be funny to hit me in the stomach. Yeah ... right where it hurts

We'll see how I am doing tomorrow.

Luke and Carrie rocked the house tonight. It was a good time. Gary Hanak was very funny. I'm looking forward to his show tomorrow.

If _I_ had pulled a stunt like "hit an unoffending stranger in the stomach for no reason" when _I_ was a kid, either or both of my parents would've set my arse on fire so fast the speed of light would look slow.

I refuse to answer the question on the grounds that it may incriminate someone ... but I can't think of any other little girl who was at the con who could have done it

The doctors have said that I will need to do something about it sometime soon, but it's not too much of a worry. It is, as I understand it, the very end of the umbllical that came loose a little. I have one more weekend to get through (going camping with the mutants next weekend, it will be a laid back thing at a friends farm) and then I am going back to the doctor ... oddly enough, it feels really good this morning, I think she popped it back into place

And losing 15 lbs recently had helped it a lot ... not as much strain

Whenever I read about 'small children' and bad behaivor at cons I'm at I get a chill. Was that my kid? They know better than that. I wouldn't bring them or leave them alone if they didn't.

But in this case at least the chill is groundless. My two are both boys, thank heavens.

And my weekend was good, thanks for asking.
