So ... I went up to offload the new song onto my laptop.
Everything connects, I can hear it through the speakers ... I get complete silence when I hit record.
I give up ... I really do ...

Date: 2006-07-22 12:25 am (UTC)I am going from the DA 88 ... through my mixer ... stereo out ... into the stereo in on the computer.
I can hear it when I play back through the headphones attached to the laptop, so I am getting signal.
I am using Roxio Capture. It worked a week ago. as I said I can hear the track, but when I play back the wav file it's silence ... TOTAL silence ... no hiss even (which is an improvement)
Cryn seems to think that perhaps a Windows update may have screwed up some drivers and is going to look at that tomorrow. That seems most likely.
There are no settings in Capture, it's as simple as you get, which is what is annoying.

Date: 2006-07-25 05:14 pm (UTC)Roxio, in it's eternal wisdom, decided to change back to the default input (the microphone). If it does it in one of it's various modules, it does it in everything. The module I was using doesn't have switchable inputs, you have to change it elsewhere ... I found it elsewhere and now things work fine.
