Some updates

I am now officially a finalist in the Highway 61 Folks Festival songwriting contest. I am the ONLY person in the contest every of it's 5 years.

I just finished about 90% of one of the songs that I will be doing in the contest. I think it's gonna be just darn funny. I have another new song that I hope to have done by that point, we'll see.

The Duckon show will be with Andy Anda on fiddle. The shows that Andy and I play together are always really special and this is the first time we have had a chance to do this at a Chicago con. janmagic has asked that the show be all serious songs. I am so looking forward to this. No one ever asks for my serious stuff.

I am so bummed that I won't get to go to see you again at the folks festival! I'll be finishing up my bike ride down the Oregon Coast. That was a great day last year, and I'm glad you got onto their CD!

can't wait for duck...you and andy together...and serious songs! the mind boggles...
