I'm sitting here practically in tears.

He let go with about 5 lines. He sounded just the same as he did 30 years ago when he actually made up his mind to sing. He looked like he had no idea how to play that keyboard in front of him.

Then he just wandered off the stage.

On one hand it made me so glad to see him get the respect that he has deserved for so long. On the other hand, sometimes you just have to let a legend rest.

It's a shame that you couldn't beat your demons, I hope you at least have them at bay now. The fact that you got up in front of an audience for the first time in a couple decades is one sign that you that you are doing better.

Good to see you Sly. Even if it made me sad.

Okay, that explains it...I hadn't heard _anything_ about Sly and the Family Stone for decades. The name didn't ring a bell with me. *ignorant*
