RC will be featuring a lot of funny music this year. I'm doing a dementia show friday night that will feature both classic and new dementia artists. All of you that I have met I have CDs by.

Those that I do have stuff by, do you have any preferences as to what I play? Those who I don't have stuff by, would you be willing to send me a track to play?

Does anyone have any dementia requests.

I'm setting up discs for the show this week. RC will be 90% music this year, a lot less OTR than in years before.

Eric, I know you have *Water Over the Bridge.* Off this CD, it would be great if you could play either "Preposterous" or "I Can't Get Over You, So...." If you have my other CD, *Rainbow's Edge,* the songs off that would be "I Pop Pills" (which I think Dr. D may have played on the air, the version on my *Resolutions* tape, but the same song) and "Baby, Don't...." Please let me know after the fact what you used, as I'd be curious. Thanks.

Do you have any recording equipment at the con? Perhaps have some of the artists do live/at con intros and/or promos.

If you have portable recording equipment, perhaps a Fan On The Street segment... on Sunday play something from the filk circle on Saturday...

(Hey, aI love to suggest loads of work for other people.)

The best thing I got for my iPod was a little mic which fits on top. The sound quality isn't particularly good, even after filtering, but it's okay for voice. They're not terribly expensive ($30-$40) and great for this sort of thing. Having an iPod hasn't changed my life (though I have formally retired my Walkman), but the microphone has altered various con strategies.

OTR?

I suspect you mean something different by the letters OTR, but all I can think of is that you probably shouldn't devote a whole lot of airtime to Old Time Religion.

Coulda hauled 'em off in hearses
'Twas so bad, and what is worse is
It went on three hundred verses
And that's quite enough for me!

That was me; I didn't notice I wasn't logged in until I'd already posted it, and then I couldn't reply to my own comment because it was screened.

I dunno what logged me out. I haven't had a problem staying logged in before, so I hope they didn't break that in their recent "upgrade" to the login system.

That happened to me too. I suspect that it's an LJ thing. Still, if that's the worst that happens while they're upgrading, I won't complain too much.

Further nosy comment: You mean OTR as in Fibber McGee and Molly, or are you lumping radio production with older musical dementia such as Spike Jones? Heck, give 'em Lord Buckley or Ken Nordine and they'll never know what hit 'em.
