Some of the folks protesting outside of Terri Schiavo's hospice decided to rush the building brandishing cups of water. The only thought I have is that they were intending to drown her, since she certainly would not have been able to drink it.

And - I'm embarassed that the information on this wretched case has been implanted on my brain against my will by our ridiculous, story-hungry society - but it's Terri Schiavo. Unless she's got a sister? Oh jeez, I'm joining RJ in hell, aren't I?

On Terri (RIP):

While I saw both sides of the whole shituation, and sympathize with ALL of 'em (which i don't always do), the whole protesters-bringing-her-water thingy just tells me of the mindset... "you're just not praying hard enough. i'm a better pray-er than you, so MY prayers will INSTANTLY cure her and she'll drink this holy water of life blessed by ME personally and we'll show all those damn evolutionists who's got an in with god or not"

and re: the Mummert quote...all I can say is...well damn. if the Intelligent, educated segment of culture is attacking, why aren't they smart enough to slaughter too?

and what is it about sports fans and such? they're ALWAYS loud. ever hear a sports announcer? he's always SHOUTING the scores. can't we hear them already?
