The circle

I made it to the filk circle fairly late ... I got sidetracked in the con suite swapping stories with conbarbie and a fellow whose name I forget ... since I forget everyone's name (note that I do remember the name of the babe).

I had forgotten how many great voices there are in the filk community here. Some amazing stuff, including a couple of original songs that were just breathtaking.

I did Roman Wall Blues, the "who needs to remember the words" version and WYSIWYG (again) and then headed back up here to collapse. It's a long drive home tomorrow.

I spent much of the evening wandering, so today wasn't as good as it could have been, but it's still been a nice weekend. They are moving to April next year, so I am uncertain as to whether I can make it, but I certainly want to.

I've talked with several folks from Fencon, and they want Toyboat to come down next year. It's a bit of a logistical nightmare. We've talked about it a little bit, but I don't know if we can pull it off. We'll see.

Now to bed, and tomorrow back to Iowa.

The trip went well, I had a lot of stuff to listen to on my IPod, which helped.

Over all a great weekend ... I had a bit of a disconnect for much of saturday afternoon, but went up and slept for a couple hours and ended up having a nice evening.

I have several new crushes ... all of whom I will assume have no interest in me whatsoever. I think I may need to write a song about that.

The car is unloaded so I am off to bed very soon.
