And I leave again on friday.

The few days in Chapel Hill were wonderful. It was a true celebration of my mother's life. I'm guessing that close to a 100 people crowded into my mom's house saturday night through the course of the evening.

I'm tired, but happy. It's been a very hard time the last year. There have been a great many milestones. The passing of my last grandparent, the breakup of my marriage and now the passing of my mother.

And oddly enough I am ok, maybe even better than I have been in some time. I'm trying to move forward, and only look back as much as is necessary to keep myself grounded.

I'm hoping, and I feel that, this year will be a good one. I hope to play a lot of music, to write a lot of music, and yes ... to even FINALLY record some damn music.

Things look good. Thank you to everyone who has helped me this last year.

As a lot of you know, musicians from all over travel to Marscon every year to play music. There are 13 acts from all over the US playing this year. Some of them are coming from a very long ways. [livejournal.com profile] lukeski has put together a disc to help them pay their costs. It includes a lot of unreleased stuff, including two demos of unreleased songs from my upcoming CD. But ya know ... He says it better )
