Confluence

This just in from Randy Hoffman. Confluence has been cancelled. Not just us, the entire con. They were informed last week that the hotel would be closing the week before the convention. Efforts to find a new venue failed. And that's it.

We do intend to be there next year.

Well, that's just rude. How dare they close their hotel when we're not through with it?

(I seem to recall hearing of a con of legend, that took place in a hotel scheduled for demolition on the immediately following Monday. Rather a lot of pre-emptive redecorating was done over the weekend, as I understand it. But I know not the details.)
