ericcoleman | An anniversary of sorts

I worked from home for the first time a year ago today. I got sent home the day before, and have been in this house ever since.

A few exceptions, we've gone out for drives, took walks in the neighborhood. I have been to the doctor a couple of times. Went to Target early one morning, and Costco twice. Mostly I have been in the house.

Mostly, it's been pretty good. It's been great that Lizzie and I have been together pretty much constantly. Some couples would not deal with that well. We love it. We're both sad that I will have to go back to the office in a month or so.

We both kind of burned out on music for awhile. We burned out on everything for awhile. The first part of this year has been hard.

With spring, we're feeling better. We're getting out more again, trying to go out for a drive every week, and a walk every day (we've been bad about the latter, we're working on it).

We're watching at least one movie a week.

Working with the synthesizers has helped me a lot. It's been responsible for me getting back to wanting to work on music.

Today, we're going to go for a drive, not sure where yet. Then we're going to come back and record this week's Patreon song. And then, I hope, night three of curling up on the couch with my wife, popcorn, and kitties and watching a movie!

There has been a lot of depression, but a lot of good things as well. And having the love of my life next to me the entire time has made it so much easier.

We get our first vaccines on Tuesday. I hope to get to a baseball game in May. We're going to visit Lizzie's family Memorial Day weekend.

It's been an interesting year. But the rest of this year looks really promising.
